Beautiful Sound Dec 26, 2009
By Artios, Inc Michael Kranz I purchased this Alto as a Christmas gift for my wife. The minimalist, sculptural appearance is what caught my eye but it was the sound that really sold me. Music of the Spheres claims to be the "Stradivarius of wind chimes". This is a statement of fact not boasting. The clarity of the notes is the best you will find and the sustain is remarkable. On their web site you can listen to the various sizes and tunings that are available. They are a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Mel Gibson Oct 11, 2008
By Mel Gibson I own quite a few wind chimes and have them in my backyard. I received this wind chime as a present and feel it should be renamed a "wind organ". The sound is so pleasant, I am tempted to take down all my other wind chimes just so I can hear this one alone. I am sure that in time I will buy another one to compliment this one. It is like no other wind chime I have heard.

Sound is clean and they look great Mar 19, 2007

These look classy and sound great. The curved plate can also be easily removed when it is very windy and you want to save your ears. We are quite pleased.

Certainly the most beautiful sounding wind chime I've heard Apr 17, 2011
By A photographer My wife and I like wind chimes okay but we had never heard anything so beautiful as the Music of the Spheres wind chimes. We first heard these when traveling in central Texas several years ago. They were expensive so all we did was listen to them in several stores while there. Eventually, while on another trip to the same area, I decided to go ahead and buy them for the back porch. We have never regretted this decision. They have a rich sound, unlike the tinkle-tinkle of cheap chimes. I'm now shopping for other Music of the Spheres chimes to complement the alto Pentatonic. Wish we had the space and budget for the tenor and bass models, however, we can only accommodate up to the alto model chimes in size.
The chimes are well made of weather resistant materials. Ours hangs just under the overhang of the porch but it gets occasional blowing rain, widely varying temperature ranges and benign neglect year-round. It has held up well for several years and continues to offer countless hours of pleasure while watching birds, sipping morning coffee or evening wine or just sitting around the fireplace with friends. It never fails to get compliments from visitors.
Sometimes we will find wind chimes in stores that come in sizes as large or larger than the Music of the Spheres models and sell for considerably less. After a few minutes listening, we always decide we would be disappointed in them when we compared them to our chimes. It's great to see that Amazon now carries the Music of the Spheres and sells them at a very good price. I highly recommend going to the Music of the Spheres website and listening to the various tunings and then buying from Amazon.

Gorgeous sound Sep 23, 2011
By David Boldt Saw one of these in a beach town store while on vacation and wrote down name of the product to be an upcoming anniversary gift. It was well received! It is well crafted, has wonderful tone and fine finish. It's our favorite wind chime.
