The best gift I ever gave my husband! May 11, 2010
By RCK
I heard these chimes in a garden shop one day more, and was convinced one of the local churches was now sounding bells in the middle of the afternoon. When I asked the clerk about the church bells I was hearing, she pointed to these chimes, hanging in an open archway in the garden center. I was astonished at their sound and later purchased them for a birthday present for my husband to use on his beloved deck (his favorite room three seasons of the year). Our chimes have hung, undisturbed, for probably more than 10 years, on the enclosed deck off our home. They are exposed to snow and rain and look as they did the day we hung them. I dust the hammer once in a while, but that's all they ever need. They are positioned to catch as much wind as is available and so, provide a peaceful, beautiful musical background. Given their size, you would expect them to be loud and disturbing, but they aren't. You can sleep on the deck but they won't wake you. Our neighbors don't seem to hear them, or else aren't bothered if they do. I cannot possibly communicate how beautiful they sound. They are enormous so be certain that wherever you hang them you have the height and strength to support them, but should you choose to make this investment (and given the cost, that's what they are) you will never regret your purchase. How many things around your house can you identify that are well-made, of excellent quality, designed to last, and offer as much pleasure throughout the years of their functional life as they day you first enjoyed them? I love these chimes as much as the day I bought them and they will probably be making music long after I am gone.

Beautiful sound of church bells Jun 11, 2009
By M. Hamm This was a mother's day present and they do sound like church bells. My wife and I saw these while vacationing and she loved them. They do actually sound like church bells. Just keep in mind that these are very tall and you need a height 9 to 10 feet for these to catch the wind without touching the ground. We already knew this but if we didn't then it would have been a problem. Ours hangs in a tree branch a little over 11 feet high with close to 2 feet from the tree branch and about 1 foot off the ground.

Great sound. Cannot wait for a windy or stormy day/night. Lay in the hammock and just relax.
Awesome Jan 16, 2012
By Layla4909 I had no idea these were this big. They are beautiful. They were a gift and everyone who saw them were stunned at how amazing they look. They have been hung in another city so I haven't heard them yet, but I know I will not be disappointed. I'm excited to hear them.
Questionable business practices.... Dec 15, 2011

I ordered these lovely chimes back at the beginning of dec for the sale price of $191.00. A day later I receive an email that my order is being backordered because they had a problem with their stock. So then I looked at the website and suddenly the price was up to $243.00. That's no way to do business...if you have the item listed at a price, you better honor it and suck up the loss of profits instead of deceiving potential customers...I will never buy from this store again.
