The little chime that could. The Aloha is a Diva, playing a different, brilliant symphony with every breeze. The bell tone is top shelf and a pleasure, morning, noon or night, wisp or gale. If windchimes were waves, the Aloha would be a glassy overhead roller that went on forever. I picture the 4 Winds armwrestling to see which one gets to make her sing next. She blocks out garbage truck noise, screamin neighbors, crazed dogs, carpenters, bad radio and most internal static. Put a six pack on my grave and an Aloha above my tombstone and I'll check out today.

I"m not one to spend much on wind chimes, I know...I'm cheap, I'll admit it. So for me this was more than I would usually spend on something like this. But I must admit it is well worth it, and more. I was very surprised when I got it because it is much bigger than I expected, which is a good thing. Also the sounds it makes is just amazing. So soothing and tranquil. I would highly recommend this wind chime for yourself or for a gift. One more thing, it's NOT a cheesy purple, it's a very natural dark looking wood.

Chimes are great looking with the bamboo around the metal chimes inside. But the bamboo surrounding the chimes also cuts down on the wind that can hit the chimes, so you get a lot less sound. So if you buy it, be sure you have a lot of stronger winds blowing.

The sound is great, not jarring. However I would suggest that you use one of those wire clamps that you would use to hold a dryer hose on right off the bat on both the top and the bottom. After a few months outside the top band came unglued and I had to use a clamp to hold it together. Eventually I just pulled the clamp and the unattached outer pieces off, it still sounds good just don't have the attractive outer shell now. Mine has been outside completely exposed now for 2 years and it is very close to time to replace. I would consider purchasing this again.

I just received my new wind chime today, and so far, I LOVE IT! It's absolutely beautiful, even more so than the photo depicts. It's larger than I thought it would be too, which I'm thankful for.
I do have concerns though, while the overall craftsmanship is very sturdy and well done, the hanging device, which attaches the actual chime to the hook, is merely made of string. I'm worried that over time, with exposure, the string will not last very long and my beautiful piece of art will crash to the ground. Fortunately the price is such that I would order another one if this were to happen, but I hope that it doesn't for a long time.
